As the eldest daughter, Rosa knows how to take care of her many siblings. Diaper changes, laundry, cooking, nap time . . . she can do it all! She is very responsible and never complains.
That is, until one day, when Rosa least expects it, her thorns come out! Realizing she needs a break, she takes off into the fields and rolling hills. Here she is no longer Mami and Papi’s best helper.
She is Wild Prairie Rosa!
Written in both English and Spanish, Andrea Cruz Floren’s sophomore picture book is a refreshingly glorious validation of older siblings everywhere and a celebration of our inner need to run wild.
