Upon discovering that a human from the castle used his master’s “beast yeast” potion to transform into the creature, Stitch Head must find a cure. The story’s morbid, horrorlike illustrations complement its dark tone. VERDICT A strong addition to children’s horror collections, especially where the “Stitch Head” series is already popular.–School Library Journal
