El fallido robo a una iglesia perpetrado por tres jóvenes inexpertos y la abrupta desaparición de una mujer en la noche limeña dan comienzo a un entramado de historias donde distintos personajes —siempre intensos y contradictorios— buscan vengar el pasado, combatir la impunidad o restablecer la justicia. Sin embargo, la realidad es otra: políticos, empresarios, jueces, militares, policías, sacerdotes, todos participan de una red de crimen y corrupción que reduce al silencio la voluntad de una sociedad que además debe lidiar con sus prejuicios de clase, raza y género.
 
No juzgarás es un thriller político de notable arquitectura narrativa, que revela a un escritor en pleno dominio del oficio novelesco. Basada en episodios de la realidad peruana, esta obra muestra cómo la ficción puede ser un ámbito propicio donde conjurar los vicios largamente enquistados en el país.

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

The attempted church robbery perpetrated by three inexperienced youths and the abrupt disappearance of a woman in the Lima night open a web of stories where different characters—always intense and inconsistent—seek to avenge the past, tackle impunity, or reestablish justice. However, facts are quite different: politicians, businesspeople, judges, the military, the police, priests, they all participate in a crime and corruption network that reduces the will of society to silence, a society that must also deal with class, race, and gender prejudices.
 
You Shall Not Judge is a political thriller of remarkable narrative architecture that reveals a novelist in full command of his craft. Built on a few episodes of Peruvian reality, this work portrays how fiction can be a suitable realm where to conjure the long-ingrown vices of the country.
