Infernal City

Viv will need to survive seven deadly trials to escape Hell and save the Half City in this propulsive finale of the Harker Academy trilogy.

The summer before Viv Abbot’s next year at Harker is a scorcher, and not just because Astera is sweltering in July. Viv finds herself trapped in the depths of the underworld, stuck beneath the sealed off Chasm with none other than Deacon Graveheart by her side. Thankfully, Deacon has valuable knowledge on navigating Hell, but Viv has another idea—brave the gauntlet: a series of trials necessary to escape.

But fleeing the underworld will prove more challenging than either of them expects. Deacon must relive his trauma from exile, while Viv is forced to confront her new, complicated existence as a demon. And the deeper they wade into the gauntlet, the more impossible it becomes to ignore the feelings they’ve denied for far too long.

As the election for mayor of Astera fast approaches, and the deadly High Thane grows closer to enacting his world-ending plans, Viv will have to dig deep within herself not just to escape the underworld and save her friends, family, and the students of Harker, but to ensure the survival of the entire Half City . . . before it’s too late.
