Beautiful You

An empowering and lyrical picture book that affirms the beauty of Black and Brown skin.

Listen, little one,
you are beautiful!
Look at your skin.

There are so many colors that your skin can be. Is it chestnut? Or honeycomb? Maybe it’s damask or charcoal or oat. No matter the shade, hue, or tone—your skin is a beautiful and unique gift from those who have come before you.

Beautiful You is a lyrical affirmation that illustrates how your skin is not only your story, but the story of your ancestors to be celebrated and cherished.
