Playing with Fire

Two summer camp co-workers agree to be friends with benefits for the season, but things begin to heat up way more than they ever expected in this spicy romance from the author of On Thin Ice.

After losing her job as a dance teacher, Lily needs a way to earn money—and quickly. Laser-focused on her dream of opening her own studio, she jumps at a position to teach dance at a lakeside summer camp. On paper it’s perfect: eight weeks to work, save, and finally put her studio plans into action. No drama and no distractions.

There’s just one tiny problem: the camp is owned by the family of the most distracting man she’s ever met.

Jack is Lily’s best friend’s boyfriend’s best friend. A handsome, charming film agent, Jack thrives on spontaneity, so the last thing he wants is to be trapped at the lake all summer with the bad memories he’s been running from. But with his family’s camp on the brink of being sold, he has no choice but to step in. At least it means seeing Lily every day…

Sure, Lily and Jack have been known to flirt but they never dared for anything more. Jack is a notorious player and Lily doesn’t have time to pursue a relationship anyway. So with all the summer stress, a casual arrangement could be just what they need. Just sex, no feelings.

But as the summer pushes them into late nights and shared projects, it turns out keeping their feelings at bay proves harder than they thought. And if summer at the lake proves anything, it’s that some fires never go out.
