Juntos emprenderán un viaje apasionante y peligroso de Cádiz a La Habana, y a la lucha por la independencia norteamericana, mientras tratan de reprimir un amor tan inevitable como prohibido.

Una gran aventura en la que tanto los protagonistas como el propio lector irán descubriendo que la verdadera fuerza de un imperio no radica en sus gobernantes, sino en las gentes sencillas que lo sostienen.
