Narsia, profesora de teatro de 58 años, acude con su exmarido al llamado de su hijo menor. Es febrero del año 2000. El joven les confiesa a sus padres que una semana atrás asesinó a su novia. No los ha citado, sin embargo, esperando ayuda, sino para que sean testigos de cómo salta al vacío desde ese décimo piso.

Con el alma fracturada, Narsia retoma su vida en su ciudad natal, en Sinaloa. Nueve años después conoce a Arsenio, un periodista extraviado. La madre de su hija, con quien tenía un trato hostil luego de separarse, fue asesinada en un tiroteo, y desde entonces va tropezándose con su propia paternidad y en la constante búsqueda de los relevos del amor. A pesar de sus diferencias, en poco tiempo surge entre Narsia y Arsenio una amistad verdadera: la singular sabiduría de la maestra de teatro se convierte en un inesperado faro para Arsenio. Pero Narsia padece una grave enfermedad cardiaca. Aunque es tratable mediante cirugía, ella no quiere cumplir un aniversario más de la muerte de su hijo en esta tierra.

Narsia, a 58-year-old theater teacher, and her ex-husband respond to a call from their youngest son in February 2000. The young man confesses to his parents that he murdered his girlfriend a week ago. However, he has not summoned them for help but to witness his jump from the tenth floor.

With a fractured soul, Narsia returns to her hometown in Sinaloa. Nine years later, she meets Arsenio, a lost journalist. The mother of Arsenio’s daughter, with whom he had a hostile relationship after their separation, was murdered in a shooting. Since then, he has been struggling with fatherhood and searching for replacements for love. Despite their differences, a true friendship quickly develops between Narsia and Arsenio. The unique wisdom of the theater teacher becomes an unexpected beacon for Arsenio. However, Narsia suffers from a severe heart condition. Although treatable through surgery, she does not want to mark another anniversary of her son’s death on this earth.
