A broken-hearted witch enters a magical bake-off, but when the judge is her ex, their forbidden attraction heats up once more, in this sparkling cozy fantasy romance reimagining of Sense and Sensibility.
Adelaide Moonflower swears she’s fine. So she’s a magicless witch who got her heart broken by the man she thought was the one. Who needs a man when the famous Enchanted Baking Contest is in town? Adelaide is elated when she’s chosen to be a contestant—it’s her chance to prove to her sisters she’s thriving and to their new town that the Moonflowers were worth welcoming into their community.
Until she realizes one of the judges is none other than Elm Kingsley: the gorgeous, charming, and talented werewolf who also happens to be her ex.
There’s a thousand reasons why Adelaide should avoid Elm, including the fact that he disappeared without a word and is still keeping secrets about why he left. But more importantly, getting involved could jeopardize her place in the competition.
Elm seems just as determined to stay away from her, which is easier said than done when they’re required to stay at the same manor for the duration of the tournament . . . in rooms right next to each other. But Adelaide is determined to win. All she has to do is ignore Elm’s piercing gaze, intoxicating presence, and infectious smile, and not fall for him again. Easy, right?
