A striking anthology exploring India’s spiritual landscape, combining photography by Briana Blasko with reflective essays by leading voices, including a foreword by HH The Dalai Lama.
As a child, Briana Blasko found herself living between two worlds. Shaped by the contemplative traditions of Catholicism and Buddhism, she strove to find a delicate balance between multifaceted cultures. It was only natural then, that her gaze would one day turn toward the spiritual landscape of India—the land which for centuries has welcomed communities from around the world to mingle and thrive together.
Photographed between 2008–2024, Spiritual India is the culmination of Briana’s travels throughout India, where she observed the lives of people across faiths, from the mainstream to the fringes. The richly detailed images transcend the rigid boundaries of religions, focusing instead on the interconnectedness of their quiet gestures and the stillness of their places of prayer.
