If a suicide attempt survivor can barely live in modern Japan, how would one fare alone on the remote Suicide Island?
After wandering for a few days and pushing himself past his limits, Sei finally succeeds in his solo hunt, only to find more complications and hazards on the strange “Suicide Island” he’s stranded on!
In this celebrated manga series by Kouji Mori (Holyland, Berserk Volume 42), that evokes both Lord of the Flies and Battle Royale, a mentally ill man, Sei, is transported by the Japanese government to a mysterious, remote island after several failed suicide attempts. On “Suicide Island,” Sei must learn how to survive with a group of fellow suicidal citizens—or figure out how to die!
This celebrated series is created, written, and drawn by mangaka Kouji Mori, with translations by Kumar Sivasubramanian (I Am a Hero, Blade of the Immortal) and lettering by Eisner Award-nominated Steve Dutro (The Fifth Beatle, Eden: It’s an Endless World!).
For mature audiences.
