Corio’s weapon shop was on the brink of bankruptcy after the defeat of the Demon Lord left adventurers without a need for gear. But rather than give up, Corio banded together with his sister Eni, his friend Kizza, and the clever money-changer Frista. Together, they launched a new business, eking out a profit and just barely avoiding ruin.
Yet their patchwork venture brings no end of trouble. One day, a girl named Lillian, an analyst from the church’s Bureau of Prophecy, appears and begs Corio’s help in halting a rising religious reformation. Though the tale sounds too wild to believe, Lillian’s persistence sways the group, and they agree to assist.
Now juggling commerce and church intrigue, Corio finds himself back in dire straits. And just when things seem like they can’t get worse, Frista receives some terrible news…
