But on the flip side, things may finally be heating up between the two women… When Sorawo, plagued with feverish delusions, asks Toriko for a slap to bring her back to her senses, she’s shocked when the other woman decides to kiss her instead!

Then, to celebrate New Year’s, the whole group meets at a Shinjuku love hotel for a girls’ night party where things turn chaotic fast. As for what exactly happened that night… Sorawo can’t remember!

Meanwhile, the intrepid duo’s preparations for a nighttime Otherside expedition are proceeding apace. However, a terrible threat from the past is quietly creeping closer, while Toriko seems to have something she needs to tell Sorawo.

Back in the real world, Sorawo happens to notice something strange about her neighbor’s wrist. Then she hears a disturbing voice from the apartment next door…

Then, after a younger student at Sorawo’s university comes to Toriko and Sorawo for advice, they begin to investigate the strange affair of Kano Sannuki. However, Satsuki Uruma’s shadow lurks there as well…

There, the pair are confronted with the end states of Fourth Kind contactees—which Sorawo and Toriko both are as well—along with more mysteries about Satsuki herself.

Then the deadly Kotoribako box appears, bringing its powerful curse with it…

Back in real life, the adventurous pair come across Akari Seto, a younger student at Sorawo’s university and a karate user who’s being targeted by—cat ninjas?! Can the three girls escape the attacks?

But fun in the sun turns deadly and dangerous when they stumble into the resort’s portal to the Otherside…

The hunt for Satsuki continues, but a heated argument brews between Sorawo and Toriko when Sorawo begins to have second thoughts in the face of Toriko’s heedless urgency. Sorawo heads to Toriko’s place to apologize, only to stumble into a liminal space between reality and the Otherside. That’s where she discovers another strange, ominous entity—the Time-Space Man—and realizes that Toriko’s crossed to the Otherside without her!

Unable to locate Toriko, Sorawo must put her feelings about Satsuki aside and enlist Kozakura’s help in finding their missing friend…

The unarmed pair gets into trouble, only to be saved by a mysterious band of soldiers. As the girls soon discover, these American marines stumbled into the Otherside from their Okinawan base and have been making camp at Kisaragi ever since, unable to make it back home. Will Sorawo and Toriko be able to escape the eerie station themselves?!

In search of escape from her dreary existence, amateur explorer, depressed college student, and all-around loner Sorawo stumbles upon a portal to a curious destination—the Otherside, a mysterious realm just next door to the real world that is haunted by urban legends come to life and rife with danger. Following a close call with a creature both repulsive and mesmerizing in this parallel world, Sorawo is rescued by the beautiful Toriko, and the two girls form a tenuous friendship. As they venture into the unknown time and again for research money, and to locate a dear friend, what horrors await them in their struggle to navigate and survive the extraordinary and bizarre Otherside?!
