My favorite indulgence during the holidays is to curl up with a good book. Once my deadlines are done for the year, the kids are home for eight week on summer break and there are plenty of Christmas leftovers to eat (so no cooking!) I get to plump the cushions on the couch and sit back to read. Here’s a list of some great books I’ve read that would make for perfect holiday reading.

This is a great read filled with snappy dialogue, friendship between strong women and hot footballers! I also enjoy a good second chance romance and the sparks between single mother Poppy Patterson and TK Moore, the starting wide receiver for the Denver Mustangs, is undeniable. Throw in a very cute kid and this book is a winner.

Ayesha at Last

This is a fun read with a wonderfully diverse cast. For Ayesha, teaching is a means to an end when she’d rather be writing poetry. Khalid is engaged to her cousin, Hafsa, The road to finding true love is rough but oh so satisfying when Ayesha and Khalid eventually get their happily ever after.

The Kiss Quotient

Every now and then a book comes along to capture your imagination and heart. The Kiss Quotient is it! Seeing the romance develop between Stella and Michael is just delightful. And I love the unique premise, an autistic woman hiring a male escort to help tutor in her sex. Their resultant relationship is oh so hot and sweet. Absolutely loved it!!
