This memoir is so well written and so fun to read, you sometimes forget that it’s based on real life. I found myself enchanted by Quiara and the people in her life, I could not put the book down. This is the first book that I worked publicity for when starting at PRH and it was the perfect introduction for me into memoirs and biographical titles.

The poet is questioning and exploring issues on white supremacy, violence, culture erasure, and gender in the black community. An extremely good read that teaches as well as entertains.

For all my drama-loving, Devil Wears Prada fans, this book is for you. Talley left no detail spared in this memoir about his time at Vogue and in the fashion world for decades. I loved hearing his experiences with Andy Warhol, Karl Lagerfield, and the infamous Anna Wintour. I’m not even a huge fashion enthusiast and even I loved diving into this world for a few hundred pages.
