The latest addition to the Puffin in Bloom Collection, The Jane Austen Gift Set includes three of Austen’s arguably most popular titles,
Pride and Prejudice,
Sense and Sensibility, and
Emma. As a diehard Janeite, lover of all things Regency Era, and huge fan of the
Puffin in Bloom classics, I would be remiss to not include this beautiful boxed set as one of my recommendations! Jane Austen’s timeless regency romance novels hardly need any introduction. However, if you have not yet had the pleasure of meeting the couple that is one of the main inspirations for the modern-day enemies-to-lovers trope, Miss Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy, then I would highly recommend you check out
Pride and Prejudice and read all about how first impressions may not always be as they seem. Or perhaps you are more of a slow-burn, star-crossed lovers type of romance reader who enjoys stories showcasing the close-knit bond shared between two sisters as they navigate life and love together but with very different approaches, in which case I’d recommend reading
Sense and Sensibility. And last, but certainly not least, the only of Austen’s main six novels named after the heroine,
Emma. A character of whom Jane Austen herself said, “I am going to take a heroine whom no one but myself will much like.” But I would steadfastly argue that all these years later, the mischievous matchmaker, while a complex and sometimes controversial character, is still mostly beloved and only occasionally loathed. Janeites, Regency girlies, lovers of classic books, and book collectors alike will rejoice to display this gorgeous boxed set on their bookshelves.
