Hi, I’m Lauren! I used to be a librarian. Now I talk about books on the internet … and I work in Customer Support and Analytics for some random penguins. I love how every day I get to help books reach readers. Books have always held a special place in my heart. My most vivid childhood memory was when I would save up my babysitting money to purchase whatever new Meg Cabot book was being published and then proceed to read said book in one sitting. Fantasy, sci-fi, and fantasy romance are my favorite genres, but I read a bit of everything. This year, I am attempting to read more nonfiction. I have about three personality traits, and one of them is being a fan of Talia Hibbert. Talia is the queen of representation in her books. This one is YA, so less steamy than some of her other books, but also appropriately romantic for a YA audience. You will laugh, you might cry, and you will probably say “Hey, I do that too!” while reading about Bradley and Celine.

First-Time Caller
by B.K. Borison
One of my other personality traits is First-Time Caller. We need more romance books with people who have already started their lives before the romance, and people who are not quite conventional. This is a grumpy, hopeless romantic story between Lucie and Aiden. If you are from Maryland, I would 100% recommend reading this with a package of Berger cookies.

Better Than Revenge
by Kasie West
Another YA romance from me this round. All you need to know about this book is that the MMC teaches the FMC how to be a football kicker so that she can get revenge on her ex-boyfriend at football tryouts. And Kasie West has a very robust backlist. So when you love this one, there are so many more books to tear through.
