Carrie Soto Is Back is easily one of the best books I have ever read. The story follows Carrie Soto, a legendary athlete, coming out of retirement to leave her final mark on the tennis world. Taylor Jenkins Reid has an untouchable ability to transport readers exactly where she wants them, and I felt like I was right there on the court with Carrie, experiencing the thrill of the game right next to her. My heart was racing with every chapter, and no matter what Carrie was going through, it was impossible not to be rooting for her success.

Her unwavering dedication to achieve the life she wanted to live was inspiring, and her writing style feels as if you’re having lunch with an old friend. Plus, the memoir includes delicious recipes!

I must warn you that reading this book is going to make you want to uproot your life and move to Maine with your best friends. Happy Place follows the story of Harriet and Wyn, a couple who broke up months ago but are pretending to be together for their annual weeklong vacation with their best friends. What could go wrong? The answer is everything in the most beautiful way possible. I genuinely think Emily Henry managed to put magic into this book because it was impossible to put down.
