Richard Dooling is a novelist, screenwriter, and lawyer, a visiting professor at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Law, and a frequent contributor to The New York Times. He is the author of Critical Care, Brain Storm, Bet Your Life, and White Man’s Grave, which was a finalist for the National Book Award. He lives in Omaha, Nebraska, with his wife, children, and computers.

Twenty-eight-year-old Eric Garcia attended Cornell University and the University of Southern California, where he majored in creative writing and film. He lives outside Los Angeles with his wife, daughter, and dachshund, and is currently at work on Hot and Sweaty Rex.
