When Vidalia wins a scholarship to study art in Paris for the summer, she can’t believe her good luck. Finally, she’ll get some time away from her needy mother and the small town where she feels like an outsider.

At home, Vidalia is practically invisible to the opposite sex, but in Paris she attracts the attention of not one, but two, guys. There’s sweet Julien from the bookstore who really feels like just a friend. And then there’s Marco, a young art dealer who believes there’s more than enough of the good life to go around—even for those who can’t afford it.

By the time she finds out the truth about the paintings Marco sells, she’s fallen for him too hard to really care. But when his crimes threaten to involve her directly, Vidalia has to separate reason from passion.
