Discussion Questions:

1.   Renee focuses most of her efforts on romantic relationships, but in the process neglects friendships and family relationships. How has the minute givers’ role in her life led her to put more emphasis on romance? Would she feel differently if she got minutes from non-romantic relationships as well?

2.   If you had Renee’s powers, how many minutes would you be able to rewind?

3.   Renee often compares her relationships to movies. Is there another movie you would use for a relationship in the book, or is there a movie
you feel is applicable to a relationship in your life?

4.   Renee believes her minute givers have all taught her different lessons on her way to finding her soulmate. Which relationship feels like the
most important lesson she’s learned?

5.   What do you think of Renee’s use of her power to bend the law? If you were in her position, would you rewind time to give yourself the
advantage in lotteries or break into private property without leaving a trace?

6.   How would you feel learning that someone you were dating had been rewinding your conversations to say the right things? Would it change how you felt about the relationship?

7.   By nature of her powers, Renee often falls in love at first sight or immediately assigns significance to a relationship before it starts. Is Renee fated to fall in love with each minute giver? In the future, where do you think Renee will find better luck with love: with a minute giver,
or with someone who doesn’t trigger her powers?

8.   Both Renee and Adrien prioritize romantic relationships in their lives, often leading them into toxic relationships. In what ways do their
views of love mirror each other? In what ways do they differ?

9.   Renee develops a strong friendship with Oscar and Lydia. How does their relationship contribute to her evolving views on love throughout the story? Was Renee simply not ready for the type of relationship she had with Oscar at eighteen, or was he not the right person for her?

10. Renee spends a lot of her life thinking about whether there are others like her out there. What do you think the pros and cons are to her meeting the time rewinders when she does?

11.  Renee is so focused on creating the perfect version of herself that she often misses the imperfections in others. What are the biggest minute giver red flags that she overlooks?
