Pirate School Series

By happy coincidence, the Sea Rat meets up with another pirate ship, the Bone Rattler. The Bone Rattler isn?t any old pirate ship, either?it?s the ship Aaron and Vicky sailed on before coming to Pirate School! Captain Stinky Beard decides to let the kids sail off with the Bone Rattler for a few days to test their pirating skills and search for treasure. But when the ship gets stuck in dangerous Shipwreck Pass, it?s up to the pirate kids to save the day.

The pirate kids make lists for Santa and prepare presents for the entire crew–a fresh batch of sea slug cookies for everyone! But Rotten Tooth is acting like a Scrooge, and convinces the kids that Santa won’t deliver the presents because he won’t be able to find the ship. Pete has a great idea: sail the ship to the North Pole! Before they know it, the Sea Rat is stuck in a sheet of ice and snow is pounding down. How will the pirate kids get out of this Christmas mess?

They?ve done it!!! The pirate kids have found buried treasure!!! Too bad Rotten Tooth was there to take it away, mumbling something about scallywags . . . But when all the pirates on the Sea Rat come down with a mysterious illness, the kids start to wonder if it could have something to do with their treasure. Could it be cursed?

As the Sea Rat pulls into port, the kids are excited to explore the town! That is, until Rotten Tooth makes them run errands the whole time. But they are determined to have fun, so the kids turn it into a spying mission. By the time they return to the deck, they have a whole list of suspicious activities to report. Rotten Tooth dismisses them, but then strange things begin to happen on the ship . . . could they have a stowaway aboard?

Rotten Tooth has finally decided it’s time to teach the pirate kids some real pirating skills! They are overjoyed—until he begins by showing them how to tie and untie different knots. BOR-ING! But one night while the kids are below deck practicing their knots, the Sea Rat comes under attack by the Filthy Sails, a rival pirate ship! When the intruders overtake the ship, it’s up to the kids to sneak around and figure out how to save their crew. Can they save the Sea Rat and its crew?

While on watch in the crow’s nest, the pirate kids spot something gaining on their ship: a ghost ship! Rotten Tooth refuses to believe them, so the kids know that they have to solve this mystery themselves. They spend a night on deck waiting for the ghost ship to approach, and then they plan to board it. But is it even possible to step onto a ghost ship? And if it is, is it possible to get off of it?

The pirate ship’s first mate, Rotten Tooth, sees Pete and his friends more as an annoyance than pirates in training. As the ship heads toward Snake Island, Pete has an idea to earn some respect—if the kids can find the hidden treasure before the grown-ups, then they’ll have to be taken seriously! Only one problem: The treasure is guarded by a giant snake that curses anyone who looks in its eyes. Can the pirate kids find the treasure, earn the pirates’ respect, and escape certain death?
