Know My Name will break you apart and then somehow make you whole again. I don’t think I have read anything as moving and inspiring as this book. Chanel Miller is one of the bravest and most talented humans on this planet, and her memoir is a must read. Make sure you have a box of tissues ready!

Beach Read
by Emily Henry
Two novelists living next door to each other in Lake Michigan beach homes?? I think this novel was written for me—a reader who spent her summers growing upon the shores of Lake Michigan. This book brought me so much joy this summer; it’s full of heart, steamy, and down to earth. It’s probably the best romance novel I have ever read! It’s one of those books that you race through, only to regret when you reach the end.

I read this glittery novel shortly after I moved to New York City, and I loved being transported back to 1930’s NYC. Furious Hours
by Casey Cep
This book is WILD. I seriously think there is something in Furious Hours for every reader—it’s part serial killer true crime story, part history lesson on insurance (which is somehow fascinating) and crime in America, part literary biography about Harper Lee and Truman Capote, and part courtroom drama. You’ll definitely find yourself picking your jaw up off the ground more than once.
