    Today, Live Nation and Crown, an imprint of Random House, announced Michelle Obama’s live U.S. book tour events in support of her new, highly anticipated book, THE LIGHT WE CARRY: OVERCOMING IN UNCERTAIN TIMES. Produced by Live Nation, the six-city U.S. tour will kick off in Washington, D.C. at Warner Theatre on November 15.

    Rock N’ Read: Penguin Random House Was Back at AFROPUNK

    Penguin Random House had a big presence at this past weekend’s AFROPUNK, September 10-11, at Commodore Barry Park in Brooklyn. As the sole book publisher at their first in-person NYC festival since 2019, Penguin Random House spent two full days engaging with an influential community of gifted creatives from all backgrounds who express themselves through music, art, film, books, comedy, fashion and more.

    Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Now Serves Over 10% of Children Under 5 in the U.S.

    Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has reached a new milestone! Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a book gifting program and longtime partner of Penguin Young Readers, now distributes books to over 10% of the U.S. population under the age of five. As of September 2022, The Imagination Library will mail close to 2 million age-appropriate books per month to children from birth to the age of five, no matter their family’s income.

    Melissa Bank, Viking author of ‘The Girls’ Guide to Hunting and Fishing,’ dies at 61

    Melissa Bank, author of the beloved, hugely bestselling The Girls’ Guide to Hunting and Fishing and The Wonder Spot, published by Viking in 1999 and 2005, respectively, died in East Hampton, New York, on August 2, at 61. The cause was lung cancer. Bank, who lived in Long Island and New York City, was a writer with a distinctive minimalist style and boldly hilarious voice.
